Fear

Both space in the picture shown beside shows fear to me because it is true that ample daylight is allow to enter the space but users are not able to interact with the environment. Hence, it created an entrapped feeling as users can see but not feel and touch the surrounding outside.

Hope

The similarities of the spaces besides is a dark space with a bright slits of daylight piercing in. The bright and strong light not only bring hope and also gives out a strong sense of direction. 

Courage

For the left picture, courage is depicts by the thick load bearing wall that stand alone to separate the space to become a directional walkway. The picture on the right shows strong and harsh sunlight which also define courage.
