PROCESS AND CONCEPTUAL MODEL
Conceptual model 1
Conceptual model 1 is to test out how the space interact with each other. The image beside shows three volume which act as the main spaces intersect and react with one another.
From front to back, the first volume consist of one floor, the second volume has two floors while the third volume provide two floors. The placement of planes also being tested to relates back to the design concept.
Conceptual model 2
Conceptual model 2 again test out with the relationship and functionality of space. The first volume is tilted to make it looks more spacious visually and the placement of planes are continue to experiment.
Conceptual model 3
Conceptual model 3 confirm the position of the three volume with allow connection and interaction among one another. Planes intersect, layered, recessed against one another to enhance the 2D planar quality of the model.
The placement of planes are still in teh stage of experimentation and implementation.
MASSING MODEL
The purpose of these two massing models is help to drive my idea of design. After experimentation, i decided to go with rectilinear form.
To tie back with my design concept, conceptual model is mre important than massing to express the 2D planar quality as massing is mostly of the play of form and volume.
