BARCELONA PAVILION
Barcelona Pavilion  by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe to function as the German national pavilion for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. The concept is carried out with the realization of 'free plan'. Interior is divided by walls and 'floating roof' which gives a sense of weightlessness.

the design shows contrast between structure and enclosure. A regular grid of cruciform interspersed by freely spaced plan.

Reflecting pool compliments the volume as it stretches across the rest of the plinth. It allows light to filter through the interior volume as well as illuminate marble and travertine pavers.

Luxembourg House
Luxembourg House, a 'L-shaped' modern resident by Richard Meyer. The main volume of the house stands as a glass prism, L in shaped in form to separate its distinct zone.

An opaque plane envelops the house at the south and the east side, shading the property from the street and the neighbouring housing.

The dialogue between the primary wall and the glass blocks of the house takes place in the interstitial space bridging the interior and exterior through a series of terraces and control teh infiltration of lights and view through selective openings.

The house is bisected by a circulation spine that connects to the stairhall and divide teh house into its two spatial part which is the void zone and the solid zone.
